Well my hubby went to all the trouble to winterize our trucks just to have other things go wrong with them. You may remember the post It’s Time to Winterize
We have 3 older trucks that have been great so far. A 2000 Ford Ranger, 2000 Dodge Ram & a 1997 Ford F350. Now the Dodge Ram was unlicensed and had storage insurance for the winter as we wanted to sell it come Spring.
So hubby was driving his Ford Ranger to work and I was driving the dually. Then his Ranger start running very poorly and he has worked on it several times and it still isn’t running right, so it is parked. So then he started driving my dually and I am here to tell ya this dually does NOT do well in the snow what-so-ever. So after getting the dually stuck in the snow so many times we where getting aggravated (this was always in our driveway) I had to go re-license and insure the Dodge truck just so he could get to work.
Then one afternoon he jumped in the Dodge, I’m in the kitchen and hear a loud squeal, a poof something is up in smoke. So he pulls the truck forward to park it now as it turns out the trucks water pump has died AGAIN. We just put a water pump in this truck 3 years ago. LEASON: do not buy re-manufactured parts, they are JUNK! As well, our serpentine belt has broke but we have another one of those already. So 2 trucks are now down, snow has melted and we are driving only the dually.
So all the love and car hubby took to winterize our trucks well I’m sure it helped but we are still up to our eyeballs in broken down trucks that need “time” and work!
