Missing in action at EntreCard and other ad sites

Post image for Missing in action at EntreCard and other ad sites

I wanted to let my friends and fellow bloggers know why I have been missing in action at EntreCard. I am struggling with how to proceed. This post explains some of my problems:  Computer Virus Kills My Operating System Windows XP

What the post doesn’t explain is that 2 days after I paid $298 to save my data and I reformatted my computer, loaded all my data and software back on to the computer, I got another trojan/virus that was a major multiplier and I could not get rid of it. So what I had to do, because I work from home and I have ooodles of tax information and such on my computer, I had to go purchase another computer and reformat my old computer for a fun one for my hubby.

Now that I have a new laptop and backup system I also purchased a new Anti Virus program Kaspersky. I am now almost completely functioning with this new laptop but twice I have visited my EntreCard account and visited my drops in box and my Kaspersky alerts me that I have encountered a trojan/virus. I have nothing else open on my computer when I visit EntreCard so the trojan/virus is coming from someones EntreCard ad. And at this point I am quite leery of visiting all the blogs that have visited me just because I cannot afford to get another trojan/virus that I cannot fix or have to pay someone to fix. I am out a total of $950 big bucks for all my problems.

So friends please understand that until I actually figure out who the culprit is on some of theses sites (my previous post tells you that CMFads was the culprit then) I will not be visiting these ad sites as frequently but I still visit as many of my friends blogs as I can and post as much as I can.

If anyone else has encountered these problems with some bad blogs can you tell me what can be done?  Right now Kaspersky has been working great and caught 273 viruses and 19 trojans and 3 adware.  Finally something that works because McAfee, TWICE, did not do it’s job.

I use FireFox and never ever us IE as I learned long ago they are a major target for viruses and such. Thanks for your concern and I hope so as well.

PS love the horse picture!

A very scary thought; I’m sorry you had such trouble. I have been dropping via Opera, and there are 2 blogs that warnings pop up on in “Education”. One was snagged by Opera, and the second by my PC-cillan program for malicious software (so maybe those are the culprits). Hope you get everything all straightened out soon!
