Google Voice Will It Replace Skype?

Well I got my Google Voice number and so far it seems to have some great features and possibilities.

Will it replace my Skype number?   Probably, and here’s why.

1. I pay a yearly fee to have a Skype number.
2. I pay per minute to make a call from my Skype number, even in the USA.
3. I pay to have calls transferred or forwarded to my cell number.
4. In other words I pay to have Skype.  And believe me some weirdo’s have contacted me through Skype.  I have learned to ignore them all.
5. Also, a CON with Skype is that I have to have a program installed and up and running to utilized Skype.

So what about Google Voice?  Well so far, all the above is FREE!  Did I say FREE?  Yep, you heard me, FREE!

1. FREE to have a Google Voice number.
2. FREE to make a call from my Google Voice number, USA calls only.  I can even call from my Google Voice number using MY cell phone.  How cool is that?
3. FREE to have calls transfered or forwaded to my cell number or any other number I so choose.
4. Also, a PRO with Google Voice is that some fruit cake can not find me via a Google Voice search to contact me for sicko reasons!!  As so many Skype users do.
5. Widgets!  We love our Widgets! Google Voice has a cool widget to add to any website.  Thereby letting anyone call me for FREE.  The caller simply enters their information into the little form, Google will call THEIR phone to connect them to me.  That is a really great feature that I am sure many users will love.

6. And last but not least?  Google Voice does NOT require that software be installed on my computer to access all the features.  I simply log on to my Google Voice account or rather my Google Account then I could click on Google Voice if I need it.
