NOTE:  I took the band down just because it blocked some of my stuff at the top but I am still using the NoFollow FREE plugin.

If you noticed recently there is a orange band at the top of the page that says “NOFOLLOW FREE”  This was placed there by me and will be there for a little while until I come up with something a little more creative.  I want everyone to know their comments are followed by The Fly On The Wall.

This is a plugin by: NoFollow Free Plugin.  It doesn’t mean that your author link will immediately have the “nofollow” tag removed from them, but it does mean that it will be removed from frequent visitors. If you post 2 or more comments on The Fly On The Wall, you will have the rel=nofollow attribute removed.  I will watch this 2 limit closely and if used improperly I will raise the number.  (ADDED:  this little section is not meant for my current friends/bloggers.  You guys/gals are great.  It’s more to let the crazy spammers out there know they are being watched :) ) I want to show more “blog love” to all my readers/friends and commenter’s for visiting and commenting on my site regularly.

Please note that this Blog IS moderated and that it DOES have anti-spam software, and any spam posts WILL be removed, if not immediately blocked.  (ADDED:  this little section is not meant for my current friends/bloggers.  You guys/gals are great.  It’s more to let the crazy spammers out there know they are being watched :) )

For those who consider using this plugin:  I highly recommend it but you will need to monitor your spam.  I have recently seen a big rise in the spam area and well they will never get my “blog love”.  Errrr!

Hi.
I to hate spam very much. You're lucky using wordpress as a blog host. So many spam tools to use. But the more you hate spam, the more will come to your blog.

Hmmm, I don’t know if my Comment Luv is no follow or not. Actually, I will have to do some research on that because I didn’t know we could do that and I don’t know how :)

hi, my blog also support the Do follow movement, and I have submitted my blog to do follow blog directory. the result is the number of comments increasing but it use by site owner or admin to get backlink.
I’m sorry I have to ask you, is your comment luv no follow? because I use No/Do follow firefox adds-on, and the comment luv has red color which is considering no follow.

Oh the pills comments are the worst. I will delete any and all comments with that stuff in them. I still moderate all my comments too.

Since I put up the verification needed, I dont see those stupid comments on viagra on my blogs anymore. Even then I moderate all comments, and get rid of those who want to leave links only.

I had previously installed a plug-in too but when I was checking it, it didn’t seem to be working properly; as I was checking back on the comments by other bloggers, I was still seeing the ‘nofollow’ tag. Perhaps I did not install it properly.

I use Akismet which catches almost all of it for now. But I know as a NoFollow FREE blog the spam will pick up even more so. I have no worries about my current blogging friends as you all come back to see me often and always leave great comments :)

So maybe I should change that post a little so as not to offend my current friends :)

Can’t say I blame you at all. I am so tired of the spam that comes in. There is a program that helps remove the spam. I have to look on my blog and see what it is. It seems to help for the most part. You do what you have to do. No worries here :)
