Nothing feels better than being able to share a wonderful meal with a beloved pet. Hubby and I broke out the grill tonight and made a yummy steak with a gigantic bone running through the middle.
Tinker, our Maltese, well she eats when we eat. That’s just how it’s been since we got her. So tonight we sat down to dinner, Tinker waiting patiently between us on the floor. We told her to wait a minute that it was hot and kept on preparing our bakers and such.
After a few minutes daddy gets up, walks to the counter, and walking back into the dinning room with a LARGE bone dangling from his fingers. Oh Tinker got so excited. She stands on her hind legs and reaches with her front paws like hands as high as she can kind of dancing at the same time. It is a beautiful site.
So he gives her the bone and heck it’s almost as long as her body. I make her keep it on a towel on the floor, which takes some training and we are still working on that, then chew chew chew, tug, munch, crunch. I love my bone! She looks at us with little eyes thanking us for the treat. She chews on her bone the entire time we are eating and a few afterwards. I then have to take it from her as it’s clean and she will literally splinter the bone and eat it. She never growls or gets defensive. Just lets me have the bone and follows me to the trash. Gulps down some fresh water and time for a nap.
I love my little baby Tinker.

Thank you so much. Yeah we are biased and think Tinker is the cutest ever. I grew up with a Toy Poodle. Man Poodles are really smart animals. I used to get in trouble because the dog would pick up her toys and put them in the box when told and well my room was always a mess. I loved that dog too, got her at 4 years old and we had to put her to sleep when I was 17, I grew up with her.
Well bring little missy Elizabeth Taylor on over. Tink loves visitors and I am not allergic to Poodles either. We could have some fun laughing at them and yes sharing a steak bone.
PS Tink is a few pounds over weight, we are in so much trouble when she gets her physical,
Can’t help sharing though, she’s a nibbler not a gulper
Your little Tink is sooooo precious!
I have a French poodle named Elizabeth Taylor!
We don’t give her table food, though (but I think she’d like to move in with you now if she hears about that big steak bone your little Tink got!)
