Foundation with Oils for dry skin

I recently learned that my favorite makeup has been discontinued, Max Factor whipped creme.  The Max Factor whipped creme was perfect for my extremely dry skin and has been replaced with a water based foundation that I am not even going to try.  Water based makeup is horrendous on my very dry skin, been there done that.  So in my search for another oil based makeup I am tickled to say I found one that is even better than my old brand.

CoverGirl TruBlend Whipped Foundation is absolutely dreamy on my skin.  This foundation has oils that help keep my skin soft and supple to keep the flakes at bay.  I loved it so much I bought a second one so I now have 2 jars of this makeup.  I have always been a makeup mixer, meaning I like to blend my foundations to get the perfect color for me and I have passed this on to my daughter who now does the same thing.  I purchased #415 Natural Ivory & #420 Creamy Natural and they blended to make my perfect color.

What do I love about this makeup?

  • It feels so velvety and lush on my face
  • It has the oils my very dry skin needs to not flake
  • It blends beautifully with finger tips, no need for the makeup sponge that just soaks up and wastes makeup
  • There are plenty of colors to choose from so when I start getting sun in the summer I can choose another color
  • It covers my red cheeks using just a tiny bit, a little goes a long way with this foundation
  • Does not feel heavy or look like I am wearing a paint of armor
  • Light beautiful scent, does not have that Cover Girl smell most of their makeup has

There is only one con to this makeup.  It is full of oils and everyone knows if you do not clean your face properly you will get a blemish.  I got 1 small pimple on my cheek after wearing the makeup everyday for a week and not cleaning my face properly.  I now clean my face thoroughly before bed and still apply my evening coat of moisturizer that again is a must for my extremely dry skin and I have not had a problem sense.

So for anyone needing the extra love on your face, as I do, I highly recommend the CoverGirl TruBlend Whipped Foundation, it is wonderful!

Honestly, minerals are pretty good and it works. Once trying it, no need to go back to the old ones used. If buying beauty products make sure you also do your homework, research. To make sure it is good and a quality one.

Oh yes I have tried the mineral makeup (still have it actually, just don’t use it). It does look and feel nice but it still gave me the flakes on my face because I am way too dry and well I am not the neatest person so I had the makeup all over my counter and clothes every time I used it. I had to start using it while naked :) and that’s a funny picture standing in the mirror putting on makeup naked.

Anyway, I do hope you like it.

Tootles!

I’m a mineral kinda a girl, but since my daughter decided to dump it all I’ve been on the look out for something new. Thanks I’ll give this one a whirl:)
