I always wondered what kind of woman our daughter would grow up to be.
Well at 23 years of age, I am happy to say, I know for sure what kind of woman my daughter has become.
She is beautiful, warm, smart and an extremely caring person. Now as a little girl she always wanted to take care of people and their booboo’s and as a young teenager she aimed to please and was not your typical misbehaving teenager. I am not sure why god blessed us with such a wonderful little human being but I am thankful for everything she has become and I take no credit for it, she has done it all on her own.
For Thanksgiving she and her fiancee drove to IL to visit family and friends. Now keep in mind she is a broke college student living with her fiancee, racked up $30,000 in student loans, taking full-time classes and working 2 part-time jobs. She has worked since she was 16 because she always like how it felt to have her own money, while still using ours of course
Half way to IL. she encounters what appears to be a homeless man or just an out of work man standing at an intersection, holding a sign asking for help. My daughter knowing she doesn’t have much to offer, bless her heart, decides at this moment to “Pay if Forward” with what little she has. So she hands him $5 and a bag of donuts and wishes him a Merry Christmas. He wishes her the same and says “god bless” and with that she is gone, driven through the intersection.
So it isn’t much but I am certain that in God’s eyes that day it was huge. And in my eyes, grow tears thinking how blessed I am am to have her and for God to have given her to me as I was told when I was 12 years old that I could never have a child as I was too little and my body could not carry one. Now I am not a overly religious person but I am spiritual and I believe that we have been watched over through the years and at the tender age of 20 I had a bouncing 8lb, 8oz, 21″ baby girl. So to the doctors I say “stuff that in your pipe and smoke it, you where wrong, very wrong” and our daughter is proof of that.
So I have babbled about our lovely daughter, choked on my peanut brittle because my eyes have filled again, and hope everyone feels the joy I feel at this very moment.
Happy Holidays to all my new blogger friends.

Oh I am very much the proud mother. She has been a wonderful child and I still love seeing her life evolve
Sound like very proud mother. Post was touching.
Wow! I am really happy to hear that you too have done much more than the doctors predicted. They are not always right but I give them credit for doing the best they can. Now go do a “skippy” for me
Thanks for droppin’ in.
Right on. Good for you, and her, and the guy who got the donuts and cash too. And I know how you feel about the doctors. According to them I shouldn’t be able to walk, but I walk without even a limp and I can run and jump if I care to.
Yes, we do feel very blessed, we couldn’t have asked for a better child.
Thanks for stopping by. You have a safe winter.
You’re so bless that you have a very kind daughter. Wish all kids will be kind like her.

Thank you so much. I am sure I would like your mother
Come back and see me anytime.
What a lovely post about your daughter and about proving persons of authority, like doctors, wrong. My mother’s life is like that too.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes
