Downsizing!

My husband and I have made a decision… We want to simplify our lives and have decided to do so NOW!! Anyone want to buy: A boat, a Dodge truck, a 29′ camper, 2 OLD trucks, 1 cool Hemi and ooodles of other “stuff” we have accumulated over the years? Just send me a message through the contact form.

What does this mean? It’s means we are tired of the “stuff”, we are tired of “having” to work extra to buy and upkeep all this “stuff”, we are tired of working for someone else! Plainly, we are tired!!

Well our first step at downsizing went surprisingly well, woot!

We went to the local swap meet at Worlds of Fun and sold 2 motorcycles, 1 scooter, some kind of major car engine part and 1 RV complete tire with brake pads and stuff still attached (compliments of some poor sap cruisin’ down interstate I35) and an ass ton of hot wheels (the hobby of big boys).

The day was chilly and boy was it windy, our goodies kept flying off the table and then the rains came. But heck who cares we didn’t have to stuff the motorcycles, scooter, engine parts; RV tire back into the garage. Hurray is all I can say

AWESOME!  We are on a roll. The Camper we got it all cleaned up and ready to either sell or camp in I am also doing taxes and I am tickled to say we are getting a hell of a refund. This money is going into our sold “stuff” stash and I will tell you what it’s for in another post.

Also, found a local flee market to put all my “stuff” in that doesn’t sell, after our yard sale we will have in May. If it doesn’t sell at the yard sale it is going to the flee market. It is NOT coming back into my house.

Then comes the cleaning of my new found space. Yuck and double yuck. I suck at cleaning and hate to do it. Paid a man once to clean my house and he didn’t do any better, so won’t do that again errrr.

Well I shall wrap up this post.
