Damn when it rains it pours!

Here we are the start of a new year and I have high hopes for this new year because we have a project and our plans involve all of our extra money. But oh no it’s not gonna be like that. We are having a heck of a time with automobiles right now!

So let me back up a minute. It’s November 2009, our Ford ranger is not running right so mister fixit hubby, replaces a fuel pump (I think it is) and voila, it’s fixed. Nope not so fast, that didn’t fix it, so buy some more parts, 6 fuel injectors to the tune of $50 each. Tada, it’s fixed, NOPE not yet, now the stupid truck needs a fuel filter (or what ever part goes into the gas tank) so now hubby must take off the gas tank or take of the bed of the truck to get to the tank to fix it. But oh no Mr. Snowman came to visit and has taken up a permanent residence at our home. So the truck still sits waiting to be fixed.

Now during this problem with “our” truck our daughters car falls apart and dad works too much to fix hers and ours so we send it to the shop that sets us back $1100. She still has a belt to be fixed when dad gets a free moment cause fiancee can’t do it nor does he have the parts to do it.

Oh but we’re not done yet. Do you see where this is going? Yep you guessed it. Another of our vehicles the trusty ole Dodge 4WD that save our butts this winter, the vehicle that we had to re-license and insure just so we could drive it in the snow and ice has now coughed and died. In fact it started smoking today when hubby tried to take it to work. Now damn it I have been carless for quite some time and I’m getting cranky about it. Also, ALL of our extra money is going towards fixing all these damned vehicles. Pretty hard to live in the country without a vehicle.

So now I’m wondering if our plans and projects are going to be on hold another year. We can’t wait another year. This is our retirement plan. Got to get it rolling because not only will it take money but time and well time is ticking and the new year is cruisin’ by and I seriously need SOME SUNSHINE! I’m getting grumpy. Momma needs some good weather, good tunes, good food and well some freakin’ good running vehicles. I got the I wants right now, can ya tell? Feeling wishy washy and crabby and it’s not a good feeling.

So gonna go work some more on my new computer, ooops if you read another of my posts I also had a laptop & desktop catastrophe so that took $950 to resolve! WAAAAAA! We are going broke over here.

Help friends I need some pep talk :( Or I’m breaking out the bottle and dancin’ the jig! Drunk dancing

You and me both. Go 2010 is my motto for now :) I am sorry to hear about your Suburban and the RV. We too pull a 30′ camper and used to do it with our Dodge (the truck that started smoking the other day) but lucky for us we weren’t anywhere but in our own driveway. I hope you get if fixed in time for camping season. I love to meet other campers. Where do you usually go? I see you have a camper full when you go, us we are down to us and a Maltese puppy. Daughter is grown and engaged and well her life is too busy to hang with us camping anymore *sigh*

Come back to my blog soon.

I’m hoping 2010 will be a better year for both of us. We went on a trip, pulling an RV and my Suburban broke down 4 times on the way home. Our friend drove two hours to bring us a part and follow us home to make sure we made it safely. The stupid truck still isn’t fixed. It will be paid off in three months, so I guess this is about the right time for it to start dying constantly. Here’s to hoping that it’s going to be a better year for both of us.
